I was sent a Tweet this morning that was originally posted by Meghan Amor. To be clear, I do not know who Meghan is and I haven’t had time to verify if this is entirely accurate but I do see in her subsequent thread of tweets that she does have Saskatchewan Government links to back this up and, therefore, I’m going to relay this to all of you however if there is someone out there who can verify this as INCORRECT, please let me know or post in the comments as it’s important for people to know whether or not this is the case.

In Saskatchewan’s 4th wave (August - November) there were 31,029 Covid cases and 338 total deaths.
21,308 of those cases were in the unvaccinated, with 192 deaths being amongst the unvaccinated for a death rate of 0.9%.
2,073 cases were discovered in people with one dose of vaccine and 24 died, for a death rate of 1.1%.
7.545 cases were in people fully vaccinated (two shots) and there were 115 deaths, for a death rate of 1.5%.
103 cases were in those with THREE shots and 7 of those people died, for a death rate of 6.7%.
My guess on why you are seeing the high death rate amongst those with three shots is because they are predominantly older people with comorbidities and while the vaccine protects you from Covid, it doesn’t protect you from all of the other things threatening your life. The government should probably say this, but they’ve been ignoring that very important fact all along as it helps ramp up the fear amongst the population to have everyone believing Covid is a deadly threat to every single one of us when it just isn’t the case.
The lying from governments has been gross and makes my blood boil. I don’t expect anyone to believe me. I’m just an internet blogger without a medical degree. But the data is quite clear on this. If you are over the age of 70 (let’s call it 60 just to be extra cautious), if you are overweight, or if you are regularly seeing a doctor for serious health matter that threatens your life …then you are at a serious risk when it comes to Covid and you need to be very careful with your decisions when it comes to interacting with others and I also believe that YES you should absolutely take the vaccine.
Everyone else? Personal choice. Up to you. Whatever you think is best. But this coercion is nothing short of evil and it’s even worse when you have people like Scott Moe saying we shouldn’t stigmatize the unvaccinated all the while he’s the one stoking the coals on this and making life onerous on people who don’t have their shot.
Again I will ask the question that is never answered - Why does my vaccine only work if you get it?
If this was truly a choice …. Moe would say “We have 1.2 million people in Saskatchewan and we have 2.4 million shots available. It’s up to you as individuals on what to do but here are the FACTS.” Then exit stage left and actually govern for a change.
Proper statistics are necessary to interpret these numbers. Looking at them like this is misleading. It’s like two farmers talking and one saying “I harvested 12,000bu of wheat this year” and another replying “well I harvested 15,000bu this year” but the first guy did it over 240 ac and the second over 1000ac. The proper way to look at these numbers are breaking it down to per 100k of each population, as there are around 800,000 doubled vaccinated people in the province and around 150,000 unvaccinated. Throughout the 4th wave consistently 80% of the cases were unvaccinated /100k and 6-8% of cases were double vaccinated /100k. Comparing numbers without considering population of each group is pointless.
