I really don’t know what to make about all this chatter surrounding the World Economic Forum and World Health Organization but here are a few observations: there are no public health orders in Davos (where these elites are meeting) yet pictures show the workers or those serving the 5000 delegates in masks. The world ‘leaders’ are not wearing masks. Two class society? You bet. It’s also said these groups are getting together to better life for all yet there is no live stream or anything of the sort so that we can watch and listen to what is being said.
Let’s pretend the intentions of those at the WEF summit are noble and genuine (we know they are not, but let’s go along with it anyway). You can see that in a big country like Canada it’s very difficult and, frankly, impossible to establish a national policy that works from the east coast to the west coast. This is why you have such a difference of opinion on politicians. Those who live in the east don’t love Trudeau necessarily but they see the political mandates set forth by his government as being good for their way of life while those in the west see it as detrimental and even as an attack on theirs. So how can you come up with one economic/social policy that will suit every single country? It’s silly even if you accept it at face value.
If sudden and unexplained deaths are not up from previous years, they sure are receiving a lot more publicity. Radio host Andrew Krystal died over the weekend while out for a walk. As far as I know, he was perfectly healthy and approximately 50 years old. Krystal most recently had his own show on Sirius/XM Canada Talks. I”m not blaming the vaccine for these deaths but all-cause mortality is up across the board and whether you like it or not these forced upon us vaccines have killed people. The numbers of those killed are in great dispute but if there was any integrity at all, we’d be doing studies on it so that we can get to the bottom of it, but politicians who have divided us for two years are simply walking away from their statements and orders as if nothing ever happened. Broom. Meet Rug.
Let’s look at Saskatchewan. People need to be reminded Scott Moe told us to take the first vaccine offered and that all vaccines are very safe and very effective. He also said he was going to make life very difficult on those who ‘chose’ not to vaccinate. Nobody in the media has taken him to task for these statements, yet I was harassed and a cancel attempt was made because I said masks should be a personal choice and entire schools should not close over a handful of Covid cases.
When it comes to safe and effective vaccines, nobody says a word about AstraZeneca anymore and a lot of people who got their shot of AstraZeneca had to get an additional Pfizer or Moderna just to be considered ‘double vaccinated’. First one offered, they said. Fully tested they said. Uh huh.
We have a labor shortage in this province. Many companies simply cannot fully staff their operations yet we have a government that is perfectly capable of ‘encouraging’ you to get vaccinated but is not the least bit interested in using this same ‘encouragement’ to get people working. Think about that for a minute.
There has been so much damage done to crucial public institutions like Health, Education, and Justice over the last two years that I’m not sure any of them will ever recover. There are so many people who don’t trust doctors anymore and for good reason. While there are a select few, most of them simply post medical opinions that fall in line with their left wing political views and that’s scary. Scarier is that any doctor who dares to even question those opinions is simply canceled. Meanwhile, the legal system has always been flawed on the side of the criminal but now you can see rules changing on the fly and with nothing concrete to back them up. For example, allegedly, there are a few bank accounts that are still frozen from the Freedom Convoy. One person sits in jail to this day and another is on trial. Yet, there continues to be mounting evidence that supports massive federal government overreach and nobody (in Canada) says a word about it although there is a tremendous amount of concern about this worldwide as other nations have watched Canada turn into authoritarian rule almost overnight. There is no longer any recourse for citizens who are the target of the government simply because they may be in disagreement with them.
Not only is there no recourse, but the government now has an unofficial license to go after you and crush you if you pose a big enough threat. Even months later, Freedom Convoy has proven to be the most peaceful protest in the history of this country. Those in opposition to the convoy pointed out that mandates were being dropped yet the federal government has never dropped any of theirs and they remain in place today despite the fact vaccines against Omicron are useless (at best, they kill you at worst). Federally, we continue to have segregation and far too many Canadians are fine with it. Unless you live there, I bet you didn’t even know Nova Scotia was still abusing children by ordering them to continue mask wearing in schools up until this upcoming week. I thought all the mandates had been dropped…
While it’s true provinces all quickly, dropped most mandates there is no doubt in my mind the Convoy prompted it. With no real push back, we’d all still be in masks and under gathering limits. Don’t kid yourself. Every single provincial government has governed by poll and not by morals, ethics, or economics. And, governing by economics isn’t the bad thing it was labeled to be when people like me pointed out that these lockdowns were unsustainable and that you needed a flow of money to maintain society. Look at where we are today with inflation, supply issues, and labor shortages. Everything is a direct result of shutting down our society.
Jason Kenney is out as Premier of Alberta and the single biggest reason for that is his Covid stance. Kenney governed like a left wing tyrant despite being at the head of a conservative government. It’s really that cut and dry. My prediction is that if the UCP installs a real conservative as its leader, they will win the next election by a landslide but finding a real conservative politician in this country isn’t easy. Kenney could have been our version of Ron DeSantis had he stuck to true conservative beliefs and then when Erin O’Toole was ousted, he could have run to be the federal leader and won that race without much opposition. But he catered to those who will never ever vote for him and then lost the support of those who did vote for him previously. Political suicide.
I understand the enthusiasm people have for Pierre Polievre as leader of the federal Conservatives, but where was he for two years when we were all getting crushed by political and health tyrants? He never spoke up until he knew the polls said it was okay to do so. What does this man truly believe? I don’t think we actually know. Let’s also assume Polievre intends to follow through on many of his promises made during his campaigning. There isn’t supposed to be an election until 2025. This country is already on life support and we aren’t even halfway through 2022. What will be left in three years? I shudder at the thought.
Turn off your tv and go searching on news websites across the ocean and you will see exactly what other countries think of Canada and it isn’t good. I often wondered how places like North Korea are able to keep their citizens in line. Well this is it. Through censorship so they can’t see what’s really going on everywhere else and through state run media that hammers home daily just how wonderful your government is at taking care of you, and by making life so unaffordable without the government that people are scared to actually do anything. Don’t even try to come at me with your comparisons to Ukraine and tell me to quit whining. Just because Canada isn’t being bombed by another country doesn’t make what’s going on here okay. In fact, if countries like Canada, US, France, and England were run by actual mature grown-ups I don’t believe Ukraine would be in the situation it’s in today.
Make no mistake, Saskatchewan is going down a similar path as the country. It’s just a bit slower. It would be very easy for Scott Moe’s government to provide some financial relief during these tough economic times. Assigning $100 rebates through SGI is their version of relief and it shows just how out of touch with everyone they truly are. The creation of the new Saskatchewan United Party has a chance to turn things around. We can be a national leader. This Party does have some former politicians in advisory positions but it’s, predominantly, made up of those who simply are fed up with the current structure and want to see change. Good people. Good intentions. People with so-called right wing views. People with so-called left wing views. Here’s a short video:
Here’s where you need to sign for this Party to be considered ‘Official’: https://form.jotform.com/Sask_United/petition . This is NOT a commitment to vote for the Party. It’s simply you saying that you would like another option to hear and consider when the next provincial election takes place. I would encourage you to watch the video. You won’t find any divisive language. If you are a disgruntled NDP supporter, we want to hear from you just like we want to hear from those who feel betrayed by the SaskParty. We want to form policies that represent the majority of the people who live here and some of those policies may very well be based on some NDP principles. Don’t assume this is a ‘right wing’ Party. It’s not. It’s a Party for people of Saskatchewan who are sick of the current set up and want to see real change and restore the sense of community we used to feel across this great province.
I couldn't agree with you more on all of your comments. I hope people continue to wake up and recognize what is happening to this province and our country. Nicely put Mike.
