CARBON TAXES - The City of Yorkton paid $285,000 in carbon tax to the federal government in 2023. Remember, there’s a Goods and Services Tax on top of the carbon tax, so that’s an additional $14,500 (tax on a tax which NOBODY seems to question but is just blatant stealing). The City is looking at a 3.6% tax increase for this year. If you remove the $300,000 in taxes that go to the federal government for their climate scam, and it is a scam make no mistake about it, the tax increase is closer to 2.4%. Any person who is still a climate believer should look no further than the elites who are pushing this and ask yourself why aren’t they taking measures themselves to limit their carbon footprint? The carbon tax, so they say, is revenue neutral. I challenge any of you to write down what you pay in carbon tax and then calculate if it’s anywhere near the same amount of money the government hands back to you (which they should NEVER take in the first place). I would also stress that the $285,000 + $14,500 is a DIRECT payment. It wasn’t calculated based on spinoffs from rising costs of dealing with other industries but if you took that into account my guess is that 3.6% increase probably ends up being close to 0%. Are you awake yet? I assure just about every other city in the country has similar numbers proportionate to the size of the community.
ELECTORAL ‘REFORM’ - I see it is finally in the mainstream news cycle that the federal Liberals and NDP are busy concocting some sort of rigged election scheme that they are dressing up as ‘electoral reform’. Ask yourself why this has been done quietly over the last few months? Each of the main changes they are considering are designed to open the door wider for the ability to cheat or compromise election integrity. Three day voting? I mean that doesn’t give you a chance to count votes and see where you need to make sure you get some help over the next two days. If you can’t vote the day in question, you don’t need to vote. Voting anywhere in the riding? Why would this need to be changed from the closest to your residence? They also are pushing for more mail-ins and we saw what that did in the US during the last election. Trudeau and Singh stand no chance whatsoever of winning a fair election whenever that should be held. Their only chance to keep power is to cheat or find some way to just ban elections altogether. I put nothing past them.
ACCOUNTABILITY NOT REQUIRED - Yes, the Liberals were found guilty of illegal use of the Emergencies Act when they froze the bank accounts of people who oppose them. Yes, the Liberals have been exposed several times of supporting mass murder in Israel through their support of Hamas. Yes, the ArriveCan app has proven to be some sort of money laundering scheme. And, yes, through it all they have maintained power. Why is it a stretch to think they could find a way to ban elections, have everyone criticize them and be mad and yet still get away with it? That’s how EVERYTHING else has gone since Canadians decided for a THIRD time that this is the kind of government it wants….or did Canadians actually vote for Trudeau in a big enough number for him to win last time and the Liberals are already cheating?
RIDERS VOICE - For the third time since January 2019, the Saskatchewan Roughriders are searching for a new radio play by play voice. It’s unclear as to why CKRM and the Riders are opting to move on from Michael Ball but I can only speculate Ball’s social media posts, which were (at times) combative and critical-without a filter, played a role. I’m in the minority in that very little offends me on social media. I’ve always felt that if it’s your page, you get to say what you want. If I don’t like it, I can unfollow you or whatever (I don’t complain about lunatics like Charles Adler, Bruce WhateverhisnameisfromtheTorontoStar, and Rosie O’Donnell; I simply block them). Personally, I was entertained by some of his opinions and found him to be a ‘must’ follow even if I disagreed. As far as his play by play, I heard very little of it so I don’t think it’s fair to say he was good, bad, or otherwise. I do think he is an exceptional desk host for call-in shows and I also felt it was nice to see him rewarded by getting that job prior to the 2022 season as he’s been a very loyal Harvard employee for many years.
INSIDER NHL - I don’t usually like naming some of these poor NHL Insiders because it just gives them the attention they badly seek but I feel the need to call out Frank Seravalli, who seems to be running cover for someone within the NHL, as he stepped up several weeks ago to debunk the nasty Corey Perry rumour as to why he was released by the Chicago Blackhawks. Seravalli crafted some words together to make it sound as though he knew exactly why Perry was released but wasn’t going to divulge the exact details and he cited a source ‘very’ close to the situation. He also preached how wrong it is to just take a rumour and run with it before getting facts. Okay fine. Fast forward to last week when Dillon Dube and Carter Hart asked for personal leaves from their NHL teams and Seravalli pointed out that he had spoken to people ‘very’ close to the situation and the absences were not related to the 2018 World Junior Hockey London sexual assault investigation. Within 12-hours he was proven wrong. Seravalli quite clearly abuses the term ‘very close’. The guy isn’t at all credible and you have to wonder who is in his ear to debunk some of these ‘bad news’ stories. From his perspective, he doesn’t want to jeopardize his press pass so he’s going to do exactly as told no matter how bad he looks.
Good post!
1 - can’t believe there isn’t more of an uproar about this fake tax, it’s such a farce!
2 - of course they are up to something! They know they are falling behind in the polls and need to do something shady to stay in power.
3 - all of the corrupt things they have done and they are still in power, just confirms we are screwed in this life. The devil owns this world and redemption only happens in heaven unfortunately.
4 - I do like ballsy, but I wasn’t really a fan of how he called the game. I do like that he isn’t afraid to speak his mind though.
5 - all of the teams and insiders had to know who the guys were, there is no way they didn’t know, liars!
Here in Calgary we have close to an 8% municipal tax increase. That and my humble home has miraculously increased in value in the last 3 years by close to $200,000.00. I'm not yet on a fixed income, but I do wonder about people who are. How do they scrape together 6 or 7 thousand dollars each year? Even the lefty DON BRAID, from the Calgary Herald is squawking!!!! And then we have our BAN ON PLASTICS!
We have been infiltrated right down to the city level with zealots who have bought into this worldwide plan (that does not work). They have been slowly taking over every level of government and now the consequences of their decisions have become dangerous. Two weeks ago, Alberta had 4 GRID ALERTS in 5 days. We were asked to shut EVERYTHING OFF that wasn't absolutely necessary - including electric vehicles. You can't make this up. Saskatchewan sent power to us!
I think the answer is for people who are capable of thinking past next Wednesday need to run for office on the local level. And every other level of government. We need capable people, who understand mathematics, keep their batteries fresh in their bullshit detectors, and care about people as the ideology.
